An Adult night out for my Birthday. WooHoo!!!!

On Friday night, we had a babysitter and enjoyed a fun night out with friends celebrating my 31 years. We had an amazing dinner at my new favorite place to eat and we ended up at a nightclub drinking the night away in our own VIP area. Needless to say, I have met my quota on drinks for the next 5 years. We had a blast though!!! Thanks you guys.......

Happy 31st Birthday to Me!!!!!

We had a nice, relaxing day on my birthday. We woke up to a rainy day so we hung out at home in our comfy clothes and took naps. Gosh it felt great. For dinner, we did venture out to Red Robin. We had a fun family dinner and then we washed it all down with some Cold Stone!!! Thank you boys for a wonderful day. I love you guys.....

Cody trying his First Lemon!!! Wasn't too thrilled, but he kept wanting it again and again. He was too funny to watch.

My morning SURPRISE......

Cody has just amazed us over the past week. He has learned so many new tricks; and here is one of them. I heard Cody just talking away one morning and to my surprise when I walked in his room, he was standing in his crib. He was so proud of himself and was too cute just grinning away.... This was only the beginning. A couple weeks prior to this he had mastered the army crawl and is very quick now. What's next monkey?????

Wearing their GREEN........

Cody's 1st St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Austin in action at the park.......

Another action shot.......

Had to stop for a quick picture while we were looking at the fountain on the golf course.....

Happy St. Patrick's Day Bubba!!!!

Splish Splash I Was Taking A Bath!!!!!

I'm just a tad behind on our site, so you're all gonna get an earful tonight. A couple of weeks ago, I finally stuck my two monkey's in the bath together. They LOVED it. I couldn't get them out; they were little prunes by the time I could get them out and into their jammies....... They had so much fun; and what a time saver for mommy that night!!!

9 Month Pictures.....

So I finally got back Cody's 9 month pictures and they turned out really cute. I can't believe how he's changing. He has had quite a busy week. This past week we finally had to put the baby gate at the top of the stairs since he decided he could army crawl from his bedroom, thru his bathroom, and down the hall to the playroom (which is quite a hike). When he sees something he wants he is very QUICK!!!!! Austin has learned to keep his toys up out of arms reach from the new explorer. Cody is back to being our wonderful sleeper again; he loves to feed himself anything you give him, and he still only has one tooth (man is it sharp), but those others are soon to follow.

Our Impromptu Day on the LAKE......

So on Monday morning we woke up to BEAUTIFUL weather and Todd told us to get dressed cuz we were headed to breakfast. We got dressed, grabbed a small bag of stuff for the kids, and hopped in the car. Well, when we arrived at Todd's favorite watering hole on the lake it was closed; too early in the season still. We started to just drive on a mission to find another little spot to eat and we ended up in Denver, NC. Todd called up one of us coworkers and his wife, Paul & Deb, and said let's meet for breakfast since we were in their neck of the woods. We had a fun breakfast and then headed over to Paul & Deb's home for a "QUICK" visit. They have an amazing home on Lake Norman and we had absolutely perfect 80 degree weather.

So, as you can see, our Little Red Neck was so excited to be by the lake in the warm sun that he stripped down to his Buzz Lightyear undies and ran around like a crazy man. He had a BLAST and absolutely wore himself out. Remember, we headed to a quick breakfast that morning and I only packed what would be needed for a very SHORT outing.....

After Austin ran around for awhile we headed out on the Pontoon boat. We had a great time. Austin took a great nap and Cody joined him for a catnap as well. We had fun just checking out the homes and talking. Go figure, last Monday we were sledding with friends and this Monday we were on a boat!!!

Cody LOVED the boat. He loved the water and especially LOVED getting to drive. You couldn't pry those cute little fingers off the steering wheel and you couldn't wipe that cute little grin off his face either. Thanks Paul & Deb for the wonderful boat ride.

Cody had fun just hanging out on the boat even after we were back on the beach. He just sat there in the shade and enjoyed his snacks while Austin went skinny dipping..... :)

Hanging with Daddy...........
By now it was close to 4pm and we decided to pack up and head home. One second Austin was dressed and cleaning up, and the next thing I knew our little streaker had his clothes completely off again and was back in the water. So we got comfy on the beach, had some snacks, and continued to hang out....

We ended the day with a BBQ and watching Austin play guitar. Thanks to Deb for having a well equipped house for the kiddos. I had very little packed for our impromptu day, but it all worked out. The kids got baths, were fed, and passed out by the end of the night. We said our goodbyes and headed home 13 hours after we left our house for breakfast. :) To top off the day, we hit a CRAZY raccoon on the way home. It looked at us and ran straight for us. Poor thing; and it was a big one too. YUCK!!!!!

SNOW Day......

WOW!!! We had the biggest snowstorm North Carolina has seen in years. It all started Sunday night; the snowflakes were so BIG they looked like cotton balls. By Monday morning we had blue skies and an amazing blanket of thick snow covered EVERYTHING. Austin could not wait to get out there and play in it. We had to bring down boxes from the garage and dig through them to find something appropriate for playing in the snow. We had such a fun morning with the neighbors sledding and having snowball fights...

LOVE this picture of the boys. They are truly the Best of Friends......

This is called a RED NECK SLED!!!!!

LOVE this picture of Cody!!! He just LOVED the snow; you couldn't wipe that grin off his face.

Toofer......

"My 1st tooth is finally emerging for all to see and I am so proud to show it!!!" We have been anxiously waiting for this little bugger to finally show itself. What a week we have had. Cody turned 9 months old, got his 1st tooth, went to the pediatrician for his check up, and had to go on antibiotics for a double ear infection. Croup and ear infections; we are finally on the mend. Here are the stats from his 9 month check up: 19 lbs. 9 1/2 oz. & 28 1/2 ins. Dr. smith said he gave him a perfect report card. YAY Cody!!!!
