Happy New Years!!! Where did this year go? Holy Cow!!!! It was a rainy and low key kind of day. We weren't sure we were gonna do much tonight since we have had kind of a yucky week. Poor Cody came down with croup the day after Christmas and finally we headed to the Dr. this week when his strider would not go away so he was sent away on steroids. The steroids definitely worked, but then the tight barky cough turned into a NASTY junky sounding cough; Poor little man. So then Wednesday morning I wake up with absolutely no voice; LARYNGITIS!!!! All that came out was a few squeaks. At that point I actually sounded worse than I felt, but that all changed soon. On a good note that day, Austin had his follow up with the ENT Dr. and his ears look fabulous. So New year's Eve comes and Cody had been crabby still from his icky cold and I was definitely starting to feel a bit under the weather, but we decided to attempt to salvage the evening. We headed to our neighbors house (The Zanotii's) for some yummy appetizers and games. We had a great evening playing Trivial Pursuit and having Cody entertain us all. It was like a switch had been flipped on little man. We thought there was no way Cody would last too long out tonight, but as soon as we got to their house the little party animal went crazy; he was our little comedian as you can see by some of the pics. He out lasted EVERYONE!!!!! He made it all the way to ring in the New Year, but poor Austin crashed about 15 minutes before the stroke of midnight; we still tried to salvage a family picture though. We still had a great evening with great friends, but the night finally came to an end (and whatever bug was trying to get the best of me was finally winning). So we wished everyone a Happy 2010 and headed off to Dream Land!!!!!

Christmas 2009
Merry Christmas everyone!!!! We started our morning by sleeping in 'til 8:30am and then we all cuddled in bed and watched Christmas cartoons until 9:00am. We finally headed downstairs and checked out what Santa brought and while the kids scoped everything out and opened up their stockings, Todd got to work on our Christmas Quiche and I heated up Kringla's and made coffee. It was a cold and rainy day so it was a PERFECT day to hang out in our Christmas jammies. We had so much fun watching the kids open gifts. Since Cody was only a baby last year it was his 1st Christmas to really be able to participate. The boys had a blast and LOVED all that Santa brought; Santa was good to Mommy & Daddy too though. We spent the day playing, watching Christmas movies, and eating yummy food. Until next year................

Christmas Eve; just the FOUR of us.........................
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve this year. Even though we missed our families this year, we had a nice quiet evening just the four of us. We made a special dinner this year; Prime Rib, Roasted Potatoes, & Garlic Bubble Loaf. Yummy!!!! We then played, put out the goodies out for Santa, put the kiddos to bed in their matching Mickey Christmas jammies, and then played Santa and set the room up for the morning. Todd and I finished our Christmas Eve by watching Christmas movies and cuddling on the couch. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

An Early WHITE Christmas!!!!!
We were so excited to get quite the SNOW storm the week before Christmas here in North Carolina!!! Since it doesn't happen often, the kids were so excited. Lucky for us, we were home during this crazy storm and just enjoed the view. Surprisingly, the snow hung around for a bit due to the chilly temps we were having, which set the mood for Christmas (so we didn't mind a bit)..........
