And so it begins.........................

So the sports begin....... Austin started soccer on September 1st!!! He was so stoked to go out shopping for his soccer ball, cleats, soccer socks, and shin guards. Wow was mommy CLUELESS, but I am learning. His new team is called the Untouchables; all 3 & 4 year olds. It's fun going to watch him; all the kids can be quite comical at this age. They will pay attention and listen to Coach Robby and then all of a sudden they are checking out the grass and picking flowers; driving the parents crazy of course, but what can you expect at 3 & 4!!! All Austin talks about is getting a shirt with his number on it and a trophy; too funny. Austin & daddy have been practicing and when he is actually participating he is really good; he's a lefty when he kicks!!!! Stay tuned for updates on the games......

Austin was so proud of his soccer apparel......

Iredell County Fair on Labor Day......

I am trying to catch up and make a mends to my blogger supporters. I am so behind, so here we go!!!!!! Back on September 7th, Labor Day, we all headed over to the Iredell County Fair to meet up with some friends. The kids had a blast on all the typical carnival rides and we ate some yummy food. Austin surprised us and went down the BIG slide without Mommy or Daddy and he went into a fun house that was all mirrors and he got stuck. We all laughed so hard we almost peed our pants as he ran into the mirrored maze. We thought for sure he'd get scared when he could not make it out on his own, but No he just laughed with us!!! Cody got to try his very 1st Funnel Cake and LOVED it of course and he had a blast watching the pig races. We ended the night by watching the horse pull (that was definitely neat) and checked out all the tractors!!! This was definitely a country fair and we enjoyed every minute; especially because it was literally 5 minutes down the road!!!!

Cody just mesmerized by the fair!!!!

A Day at the NC Train Museum...... CHOO CHOO

Last weekend we headed over to Spencer, NC to visit the Train Museum. They were having a special event that day called A Playdate With Thomas; so of course we had to go. It was a beautiful day, but a little HUMID. We got to ride a train, check out the roundhouse, look at all the trains in the museum, and have a snack while painting some Thomas Trains. The boys had a blast; what a fun family day.

Colorado meets North Carolina...............

In August, I had one of my good friends from Colorado, Heather, come for a visit. We hadn't seen each other in 16 months, which was too long, and since I left Colorado 8 months pregnant she finally got to meet Cody!!!! We had a fun 5 days together. The boys had a blast playing with her and showing her all through the new house, we made some yummy food together, we went swimming, we played Phase 10 (who rocks?), we had long overdue girl talk, we had a girls night eating out (Brixx) and seeing The Time Traveler's Wife, and we went Treasure Hunting!!! I miss you already Heather!!!! Can't wait to see you again.....
