Brothers...always goofing around!!!

I LOVE watching them together. They are so funny. I love the last picture; what is Cody thinking??? P.S. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa for the cute 12 month clothes; as you can see they fit!!!

Our visit with Papa.........

What a great visit from Papa (the boys Great Grandpa).... We had 9 whole days of relaxing, watching movies, eating at yummy places, cooking fabulous meals with our new oven, visiting Race World, and playing. Cody was all grins when Papa talked to him and Austin was thrilled to show Papa all his airplanes and trains. Thanks for a great visit. We will see you this Spring in California. We miss you and love you.....

Our Busy Boy this week.....

Our little man may not be crawling yet, but he is definitely figuring out how to get around......and make a MESS!!!! I was in the kitchen cleaning up, when I came back in the living room here was our little monkey pulling all his toys out and scattering them everywhere. He was happy and having fun though...
He discovered his mirror on his playmat and for 10 minutes he was so intrigued by himself.

Still no teeth, but he was so proud to show me his gums in this picture. Poor little guy is still working so hard at those teeth; they just seem to be really stubborn!!!

Nap time....or NOT

So, today I put Cody down for his nap and Austin was settled in for some quiet time and a movie; or so I thought. I went to go check on some laundry and when I came back upstairs Austin was not where I left him and on the baby monitor I hear Cody giggling away (instead of sleeping) and Austin talking away to Cody. I sneak in Cody's room and I find these 2 clowns in the crib playing around. Boys; what can I say. You can't get mad. These 2 are so much fun to watch together. Cody can't take his eyes off of Austin; I love it. What a great relationship they already have. Needless to say, I did finally get Cody to sleep and Austin is curled up next to me sleeping now too.

8 months old!!!

I can't believe Cody is already 8 months old today!!!! Where has the time gone? He is turning into such a fun little boy with such a spunky personality. We go to the Dr. next month for some official measurements, but I do know he is over 19 pounds. In this pic he is already wearing 12 month jammies. We have had to by this little guy new clothes recently because he is already needing 12 month clothes and unfortunately, all of Austin's 12 month clothes are for summer. He is still working on those teeth, which should pop through any day now (We can only hope). He is eating like a champ. He is learning to eat new foods everyday. One of his favorites is Pancakes!!!!! He is still working on getting from point A to point B somehow someway. He is trying so hard to drag his hefty little body and gosh does he get mad when he can't do it. I'm sure this next month will have lots of firsts. We will keep you all posted.

That's my Austin.....

So I had to add one more thing from our day. Austin has a new saying he kept repeating to me all day. It all started when my, BOY, had to go potty and I here Ooooops. I head on in to the bathroom and for whatever reason he missed the potty today. I look at him, with pee all over the floor, all over the toilet, and running down his legs, and he says to me "That's ok Mommy because accidents happen." How can I not just start laughing? It's not the first time nor the last that I will clean a toilet. Well, that saying seem to follow me all day long. Anything that happened today, that was always the response. Gotta love those cute little 3 1/2 year old boys...

What a week.....

So this week has been fun, yet tiresome. Cody is teething. So we have spit everywhere, he's biting anything that gets near his mouth, and he's on and off CRABBY. He was sleeping thru the night and now he's getting up sometimes only once, but other nights multiple times. Poor baby.....Poor mommy. The week finally caught up with me and I went to sleep (actaully passed out) at 7:55pm last night. I need that, plus more still. On the other hand, we have had a fun week because we have had my grandpa here for a visit. We went to the Race Shop and showed him who daddy works for (Michael Waltrip even gave him an autographed hat), he went to the airport hanger and saw daddy's plane, and we've had some yummy meals out and about. Austin has loved showing him all his toys and his playroom.

Cody is trying so hard to get that chunky body off the ground, but still no luck. He gets so frustrated as he pushes up his arms as high as he can. He can' wait to move about the house, but I sure can.....

I LOVE this picture. I decided to finally let Cody have a go at Macaroni & Cheese with his Big Brother; he LOVED it. What a mess he was, but he enjoyed every minute of it. He concentrated so hard at trying to pick up those slippery little noodles. Of course the bowl did eventually end up upside down

Austin thinks he's Maverick from Top Gun these days and walks around with this head set on his head pretending to talk to Goose. It is so funny to listen to him; especially when he sings "Highway to the Danger Zone." He even had to eat dinner like this.

Daddy & Austin watch on as Obama is inaugurated.

Austin was so excited to go outside in the freezing cold to view what North Carolina considered "SNOW." Here he was learning to put his own coat on with a technique I used to learn when I was his age. It took him a few tries at getting it on upside down before TADA......he did it. He was so excited. Just another task learned to help mommy out.

Nice boots bubba. This is what North Carolina considered snow. Austin had to check it out. He told me, "Mommy, we don't shovel this snow." It's been a nice winter without shoveling our cars out this year.

Better Late Then Never.....

So I finally got pictures back from Cody at 7 months and the boys Christmas pictures. Gosh this month to month is hard, seems like by the time I pick up pictures it is time to take them again. At least I have them now. They turned out cute. Cody is soooo serious with his brother. I love naked butt pictures too; how can you resist those cute cheeks. :)

Cody is wondering what's going on! Hmmm....

My blondies....

Love that TUSH!!!!!

Cody just wanted to eat the red balls; we caught him in between chomps...

Love this teething; he has to eat everything. Even snowballs.

He's growing up.....

Today, Austin is exactly 3 1/2 years old. Where has the time gone???? It seems like just yesterday we brought him into this world. Now he's a walking, talking, little man..... He's learning new things everyday and he's teaching us new things as well. His new project is learning Spanish; he can already count to 20 and say a few simple phrases. Besides loving music and instruments, he loves all his airplanes, trains, & cars...... We love you Bubba!!!

New Sounds.....

Oh yeah, we have other big news. Last night Cody finally started saying DaDa. Even though it might not be intentional yet, he did say it. He has been experimenting with so many sounds the last couple of weeks; especially since his little teethys in the front are trying to break through.
