This past Monday was Austin's first trip to the Dentist. We have been talking about the Dentist with Austin and what they were going to do for a couple of weeks now in preparation for his visit. We also had Austin come and watch Mommy & Daddy on our last visit to give him an idea too. We found a great Pediatric Dentist here in Statesville. I wasn't sure how Austin was going to do, but WOW did he amaze me. The office was very kid friendly and the staff was great. He went in the back to get x-rays all by himself; they said they were very impressed since most his age won't do the x-rays. Mommy and Cody then went back with Austin to get his teeth cleaned. They counted his teeth (20 perfect little teeth), they showed him all the equipment, they cleaned his teeth, they flossed his teeth, & they gave him a flouride treatment. We also got to see his x-rays; we could already see one of his permanent molars forming. Austin had no cavities and got a PERFECT report card. He did so good in the dentist chair; we were all so proud of him. When he was all done he got to pick a prize from the treasure box and a new toothbrush. They also gave Cody a toothbrush to chew on since his very 1st tooth popped through the day before. You did an amazing job Bubba; we are so proud of you!!!
WoW! Great job to your little man! Logan's 1st visit to the Dentist was pretty unsuccessful even with tons of bribes. The 2nd visit he was a whole new person... jumped right in and got his teeth cleaned. Weren't you sad? I was, I could not believe my first born, little boy was sitting in the dentist getting his teeth cleaned. They grow up way too fast!
We were set up on July 3, 2001, thanks to my very best friend Nicole and Todd's good friend Scott, at Hennisey's Bar and Grill in Dana Point. We hit it off right from the start and knew we had something very special. We built our first home and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in October 2002 where Todd was a pilot with an airline out of Denver and I began my career as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse. We were engaged on Christmas Day 2002 and we were married in Yorba Linda on October 18, 2003. We were blessed with our first little man, Austin, on July 18, 2005. When Austin was 2 years old, we were excited to announce to him that he was gonna be a Big Brother; here we go again!!! In February 2008, Todd was offered a new job as a pilot for a Nascar Team......in North Carolina. So in March 2008, at 8 months pregnant, we packed up our home and headed to Statesville, NC. On April 5, 2008, after a 1500 mile drive pregnant with a toddler, we arrived at our new home. On May 26, 2008, we welcomed Baby Cody into our family. Since we arrived in NC, I have taken on the new job of stay at home mom; and LOVE it. In July 2010 we had the surprise of our life and found out we were once again adding to our family. Baby BOY #3 is due April 10, 2011. Todd is enjoying his new job and in November 2010 was promoted to Chief Pilot for MWR Aviation Department.
Our Family
We are so blessed to have these two little boys in our lives. They are gonna grow up being the best of friends. It's amazing to watch them everyday as they interact. Cody can't take his eyes off his Big Brother and Austin loves to make his Baby Brother smile.
