Busy? Really?

Yes I know I am SOOOOOOOOOOO behind on my blog and YES I intend to finally catch up. We got back from our California trip on May 13th and we have had barely a moment to just breathe since then. I will post pics of all that has happened during this time, but I will try and sum it up for you now. Let's just say 3 hour time change to come back home; UGH!!!!!! It took us a little more than a week to FINALLY get the kids (and ourselves) back on Eastern Standard Time, but we did it just in time for some wonderful visits from Auntie Mary Lou and Uncle Chris. They came in to go to our 1st BIG Nascar Race ~ The Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte, celebrate Cody's 1st Birthday , and celebrate Memorial Day. What a great weekend we all had; especially since one of our drivers WON the race. Woo Hoo!!!!! Then, May 26, 2009 @ 1:43pm Cody James turned 1 years old!!! I can't believe it!!!! Where did the time go? We had a day full of packing and then a nice dinner and ANOTHER Birthday Cake!!! Packing you ask? Yes, only 2 weeks after we returned from our West Coast travels we hit the road (Auntie LouLou, myself, & the kids) and drove 718 miles to Michigan to visit with relatives. Todd was busy flying so we had to be apart again for another week and a half before he flew up and met us and drove back with the family. It was a great trip seeing EVERYONE!!! However, yes however, our only damper was 3 days after we arrived Austin came down with a painful ear infection. It made it harder just because we were away from home and our pediatrician. He was treated right away and he still had a great time with everyone, but he was definitely not our "Austin" during those 2 weeks. Cody was a little party animal on the trip and did begin to stand on his own the night before we left to go home. Thanks everyone for such an amazing time!!!! We made it HOME finally on June 10th after 2 weeks away again, and now we're home to stay for awhile. UNFORTUNATELY, 2 days after we got home that ear infection that plagued Austin on our trip ,we thought was gone, reared it's ugly head and PERFORATED his eardrum. What an AWFUL morning; at least it didn't happen during our drive home. Austin had such problems with ear infections as a baby and his gut was declared a war zone from all the antibiotics. He had tubes placed when he was 9 months old and his ears have been GREAT since; until NOW that is. So our little man was put on antibiotic ear drops along with ANOTHER round of ANOTHER antibiotic which just makes me nervous for his poor gut. The ENT Dr. is following him very closely and still after 7 days his ear is draining a ton of stuff. GROSS!!!! And he can't hear very well on his left side because of it. Hopefully we have some idea of a plan this week. Those little green miracles might just have to be put back in. I will keep you posted!!! So our other little man, Cody, has been a busy boy as well. He cut another tooth when we got home (that makes 3, yes only 3 in our cute gummy boy), he is standing alone for longer periods of time, his balance is getting really good, and he has taken a few steps to Mommy & Daddy. Our little Monkey is gonna be running wild very soon. Oh yeah, and Cody said Bye Bye to his formula and bottles and is drinking his milk from a Sippy Cup like a champ. I'm so glad he was an easy transition!!!! So that is us in a nutshell since returning from California. I will finally catch up on our pictures and a few things in a little more detail very soon.
